I installed the Akrapovic link pipe on my 09 last night.

Prior to installation I had noticeable vibration below 4000 RPM I guess removing the "Boom Box" made the difference because the vibration is all but gone.

I has hoping to install my Ti-Force slip-on from my 04 but no go.

Has anyone used a slip-on with their link pipe from a manufacturer other than Akrapovic? not against buying tha Akro but would like to see if there are other options.

Thanks for taking the time!

suggest measuring can inlet ID to see if your can would work with the Akra mid pipe. If you like your TiForce can, it could save you a few hundred bucks only buying the Akra (or other brand) mid pipe for the 08/09.

I looked into that but I could not find an Akro part number for just a mid pipe.

Akro sells the slip-on only and the Akro can is welded to the mid pipe.

Try M4 if they make a slip on. I was able to get a mid pipe from them to fit an AreaP can on the wife's SV.

..or Arrow (parts unlimited)... or...or... you get the idea. get one of the site sponcers to do the leg work for you. :eek:ccasion1

Some slipons are made to connect to the stock boombox, others completely replace it. Any slip on that doesn't replace the boom box will work. m4, racefit, area p, and lor will not work because they replace the boom box. If you want one of those, you can just ditch the link pipe and sell it. Akra, Yosh, Leo Vince, and hotbodies mgp slipons will work for sure. Just make sure you have the gasket with the akra link pipe. Sometimes they're shipped without them.

Here's my M4, no link pipe, no boombox.
