About to do my first oil change so I want to know what type of O-ring Kawi uses on the 2005 ZX-10R oil drain plug? Is it a type of metal crush washer or is it a synthetic O-Ring? Do you guys change it every oil change etc. Thanks

4 oil changes with same washer = No problems thus far.

Oil seal

Never ever change it on my motorcycle, on all I got AWY (maybe 5-6). If you torque the bolt in the spec you never going to have problem for the entire life of the bike.

Speaking from experience. Change the crush washer every time. It will start to drip at some point if you don't change it: then you will tighten and strip the bolt. The washers are very inexpensive. I buy them 5 at a time. It is a aluminum type washer, flat on both sides. Torque your oil pan bolt to spec and your set.
