hi all, when following other tuned bikes (and tuned cars) you get that nice bubble gum type smell(don't laugh),i'm sure there's some that know what i mean!when my mates follow me they say it just smells like hot metal or a bit fuel'y,i have a full akro so it's not the cat,and i have a custom map so it can't be the fueling.so i think it's the type of oil you use??so it's either semi synthetic or fully synthetic,or the brand ect...so what type of oil does others use to get this nice aroma.and i always use shell v-power 98ron so it can't be the fuel.i've tried so many differant oil's it daft but i can't get this nice aroma when i give it some gas?please help as its pissing me off!

Ive heard if antifreeze gets in the combustion chamber it will cause a sweet smell, but thats definitely not something you want, could be major engine work. I wouldnt advise boiling antifreeze to compare smells either :badteeth: Usually youll have a white smoke too.

Race gas might be another answer.

mmmmm, I love me some c16 in the morning. hell, I will even take ms109.

Check their exhaust tips for clues to race gas. no soot, kind of white....maybe think about racing someone else!

:+1: sometimes after using race fuel on a track day and all the race fuel is gone, the smell lingers on for weeks!! and people think im running race fuel all the time (shit, im not rich).. white tips on the exhaust is a clue alright!!:2cents:

screw the scenting oil/fuel mixtures i cant help but think the long term reprocussions on your tank and fuel system will be bad there cant be a way to burn off all of that stuff , id bet it leaves something behind
