Agree, although looking at the ZX-25R it's not that much of a reach. No doubt they'll be updating the 400 soon, but if it's to a degree anywhere close to this article, I can't see the US paying the $$$.
More Crap than News is usually just that. Guessing Kawi will be sticking with the same nose/fairing design that makes me think of the Honda DN-01 or those fugly aftermarket fairings that were sold in the '80s-90s for standard bikes.
Had the '74 Honda 400/4 and the cafe 750; that 400 was a better bike.
We need a 400 that will produce 160 hp with weight 400 pounds or less, with exact frame ratios as the g4; what I'm pointing out is the gen 4 10r with a 400 four cylinder with same hp that weighs not over 400 pounds with the g4 frame configuration with dang valves upgraded.
The engineers already know what to do; the market is ready.
edit: found this, explaining reasoning above:
Goal to engineers is configure four cylinders into moto specs handing the market a 400/4 with 160 hp, with longevity factored, placed into g4 frame. Frills optional, as Honda had it right with their fireblade but failed to attract the noobs.
