Hi, made the move to a 10r from a 6r last June after a few track days getting overtaken on the straights and then being slowed down in the corners by mostly S1000RR owners :wink2:

I got a 2014 model from my local dealer, it had covered only 800 road miles and already had a few "extra's" thrown at it:

BST Carbon wheels
Gilles rearsets
Akrapovic shorty exhaust with de-cat link pipe
PCV with K&N air filter and custom map
Ohlins mechatronic shock

I've since changed the road fairings for track ones, added a brembo brake calliper and braided brake lines, swapped the mechatronic shock for a "manual" adjustable Ohlins TTX shock and switched the shorty can for the longer version, due to noise restrictions on UK tracks :frown2: added wets to the spare wheels (well it is England FFS) thrown some armstrong discs on and -1 on the front and +2 on the rear sprockets for now

I really love it and the power is so addictive, it flicks through the corners like my ZX6 and I'm putting that down to the wheels. I don't ride on the road anymore only the track. I'm just about to add a quick shifter, no real reason, just because I want to try one out.

I've attached some pics below, not the best but the only one's on my PC tonight. I'll post some more later.

Your site looks good and I'll lurk about and pick your brains for info when needed.

Thanks and remember

SSU :wink2:

Welcome!

And if you ever crash make sure you inspect the CF rims very carefully, they will crack and leak air after an impact without any visible indicator, whereas aluminum will have dented or malformed where it took impact.
Ask me how I know... lets just say there wasn't much left of the bike or an ankle, and they are now banned from competition in the league where I raced.

CF Rims looks sooooo awesome. I don't think I could run a set on the street as would be dodging every single pothole! I hear what NC is saying about durability but you sure can't beat the looks.

Well, I've just had 4 days on circuit in Andalusia and the electronic steering damper is going. I had the light on all the time and can't be bothered with it. I've just ordered the manual adjustable Ohlins SD. Lets see how that goes?
Apart from that the only other issue I had was my rear shock set up, there was no specialist there this time around so I had to settle with a bit of trial and error. I set the recommended comp and rebound damping (which wasn't far off). The biggest difference was the sag, I went from 0??? to 25mm and the bike handled a lot better... even got my lap times down :)
Oh and I went from Bridgestone RS10's to Dunlop D212's and the Dunlop's won ;-)
