Just purchased a 2016 zx-10r. Traded in 2008 Honda cbr 600rr. So I am definitely a newbie. First Kawasaki ever. Looking forward to going faster...

:welcome: Stevie!

She is a beast so be careful with her, she may feel like a 600 but she definitely is not!

Glad to have you aboard !
Congrats, I too picked up a 16 this week. Nice bike, but be careful def not a 08 cbr..
That is a fact.. Cracked the throttle a little hard and had her kick out a bit . Had traction control on one. Full power. Held on and kept her upright. Underwear in the trash. What a difference a liter bike is. One thing I was wondering? Has anyone else had any low speed front end clunking when hitting a bump? Going to have it checked out at the dealer. It seemed to do it also when I clasp front brake quickly and release as well. Non abs.

Check that the ABS line is actually clipped into it's little hanger thingy next to the brake line. Mine was unclipped during first service and it rattled around until I found it.
Also might be the steering damper just bumping against the head.
Welcome to the party!

No shame in turning the traction control up a little bit, especially while you're still adapting to the new bike. These 1000s build speed in a damn hurry so be careful with it.
Might as well keep traction control on 4 until you get used to it. Read up on the electronics package on this bike and the way it works.
