New Sheriff in Town!!!!

I put this in the ZX10R forum because it still relates as I can compare to the NEW Sheriff!!!

I just bought this ZX14R left over 2015 Model 0 miles for 13,800 OTD (Out the Door) I think that is a Good price for a Motorcycle that is 1 if not the most Powerful Non Aspirated Production Bikes available :dontknow:

Some are going to say are you Crazy or something I almost lost my life in a Terrible accident 6 months ago… read here http://www.zx-10r.net/forum/f23/bluedevil%92s-bike-dead-300346.html

…and what do I do I go out and buy a Bigger Bike more powerful than my 1st Gen ZX10R for my first time back on a Bike and ride away with it from the Dealer. :badteeth:

I still have a project 2005 ZX10R that I am going to build read here:

http://www.zx-10r.net/forum/f23/bluedevils-zx10r-bike-revamp-project-286482.html

so this ZX14R will be my main ride for a while just not sure how long.
First Impressions with only 7 miles on it and 3miles on the Hwy is it is very smooth. The bike doesn’t feel heavy once you get rolling turns easy, and really not that heavy to move around the floor either but it is No Gen 1 10R f’sho that’s where you notice the difference in weight.

I read articles where it said for newbies you better hold on the acceleration is animal but I almost fell asleep(yes was in High Power mode F) it has nothing like my Gen 1 bike had as far as feel so in that regard I am glad I never bought a Gen 4 for the street I like the RAW feeling the Gen 1 gives you even though the other bikes are faster including this one but with that said I didn’t have a chance to get it to redline so maybe I will feel more monster up top I will find out though it’s just a matter of time.

It's also very quiet and doesn’t have that rumble like my Gen 1 bike and not as Revy......with My Gen 1 bike you can feel in the Garage the earth moving/vibrating in the Air telling you there is something powerful shaking………. with this bike Nothing No Shake All Quiet and Smooth.
I am going to keep it stock for now maybe most likely take it to Laguna for the WSBK races this year and some other trips.

Anyway thanks for Looking I am NOW OFFICIALLY BACK ON 2 WHEELS IN A BIG WAY!!!!!

Yeah I know but Kawi isn't offering color changes like in the old days meaning 2004 and 2005 where there many Color choices .......times have changed and not for the better with looks it's now only about performance not both....... when it comes to color choices now it's just a few choices :badteeth: ...so we get what we can. .....but for this Monster I like the Stealth Look Black with it bleeding Kawi Green on the Fin s.

omg! looks like godzilla with all those lights! No 14's here but I've come across a couple busas in twists and they did well. Just gotta get used to it.

This bike is about comfort and strait line performance. I did on a Basically Stock 2004 Gen 1 as much as 121mph in the 1/8 mile and 148 mph in the 1/4 mile, so putting in my hands something that is actually made for the Drag Strip only shows promise in a BIG WAY .....not sure when or if I will run it at the Drag Strip but you can be sure I will break personal records, Break many hearts against other bikes and it will make it easier for me to get my NHRA License which will enable me to run the bike at any track in the US because most require any bike under 10s in the 1/4 mile to show your NHRA license which would not be a problem.

Very nice! I am glad you have a nice comfy ride to recuperate on and kick butt on at the drag strip! Sure, it isn't the widow maker, but they are smooooooooth rides. Love that color!

I have both zx10r(2014) and zx14r(2014), love both of them. I mostly ride 2up with my zx14r. You gotta get it flashed, I did using Ivan. It's total different bike after flashed, revs like a liter bike after it's flashed.

a biker is what you are, not what you ride. As crazy as some people might think you are, we know life with out 2 wheels... isn't an option.

remember you came from a very light, very powerful production bike (ZX-10R) to a moderately light, gorilla powerful production bike (ZX-14R)

enjoy and welcome back to two wheels.

go ahead now and replace that flimsy oil pump cover with a billet cover- about $45. just have to pull clutch hub out to replace. # 1 cause of spun bearings on 14's.

Update.. did about 55 miles on it today so officially my first long ride with the Bike.

I went Hwy for about 40 miles and the rest street. This bike is very stable and the easy to move the bike is very nice you can hit 100mph so quick but if feels like 65mph. The passing ability is going to be great on long rides it even comes with a "passing switch" to flash the Headlight letting other drivers in the Fast Lane move Over I am Coming Through and Fast.

Then I made it to Cycle Gear bought a New helmet to replace my Wrecked one but what was cool when I arrived there was 2 Nice Looking ZX14Rs in the parking lot with their owners next to them, got to chat and get info. about the bike then when I left and started to get on the Hwy I seen Another 2 ZX14Rs waiting at a Stop light and they gave me a hand wave....I almost never see ZX14s but in a span of a Hour 4 of them, I felt there must be a Big Following for these Bikes after that. :dontknow:

Anyway I think the ride did me good today to shake those cob webs off from my Wreck last year and to hopefully get me back in full swing, I was more cautious though while riding it's not easy to come back from a wreck but I think being on the ZX14R helped me get back into the grove of things because of how stable it is and confidence it through s back to the rider.
