How’s it going everyone? New to the Ninja world and loving it so far!

So far I’ve had an r6, cbr600rr, gsx-r 600, Ducati street fighter, a few Harleys (not important to list lol) and now I picked up an 06 ZX10R!

Current about to pass 25k miles, valve adjusted about a year ago, pazzo levers, Puig windscreen, Akrapkvic slip ons, silicon radiator hoses, KLEEN block off, and that’s all I’ve discovered so far.

About 2 posts in and I’ve already received some good input and people seems friendly on here. Overall, I’m happy with the switch.

Cheers.

Thank you! One of these days I’ll learn how to make the attached thumbnails come through in better quality.

Welcome. Nice looking bike.

It looks like you're only a "couple of minutes" away from the track.
Arizona Motorsports Park.

Need to get that bike out there for a few track days!

Thank you, this is definitely the best bike I've had for sure!

Yeah I never knew how close it was. I will be taking one of the courses to make sure I'm headed in the right direction (not literally) lol.

I've been riding for a few years but none of my friends ride or so I've probably formed some bad habits, one of which is that I'm way to heavy on the bars. So it's probably best I get some good advice before I jump on a track.

Is there any groups out here? It looked like the regional forums have been dry forever.

Get some Stomp Grips on the tank. Makes it a whole lot
easier to ride with your knees/Core and loosen up your arms.

Not sure about any forums but it's pretty much a sell out every track day.

Here's a link to the track day organization that runs there.

https://xceltrackdays.com/

They have a first timers special for $99.00

Last track day was a couple of weeks ago. Down for the summer, next
one is in September.

"Advice", never a lack of advice at a track day  but seriously there's
a lot of coaches that will help you and stick with you for the day, for free.

I have the exact same bike. Here's a vid of a couple laps from AMP (Arizona Motorsports Park) on my Gen2

I’m hoping to find a group of friends that also ride and work on their own bikes so I can slither my way into the group. With how friendly everyone seems to be on here so far, I’m sure I can just show up on the next track day and not feel like I need to sit in the corner by myself.

Nice video! Watching that’s makes me wish it was September already. At least that gives me time to get everything I need to be “track ready” and research proper etiquette so I don’t end up on someone’s “new rider’s do _____” YouTube video lol.

Thanks again for being so willing to share all of that info!
