^ no doubt that they've added more technology into it. however, to me, it still sounds like the all-new '09 R1 before it came out. we need to see some real-world (non-magazine) tests

I'll wait for some real world testing before I'm impressed. With that being said I do kinda hope it does perform good just so everybody else will bump up their game that much more.

I'm not a believer that this would be a "game-changer". I want to see head to head battle against our 10.

I trust Steve Atlas to tell it just like he senses it.

How this works on the street...Really have no Clue.
It will have to be tested extensively on the wide spectrumm of what street is.

I'm suspecting it won't be the greatest street weapon out there.

i hope this BMW kicks everyone else's asses....meaning that all the jap manufacturers would have to step up their game in order to compete...especially kawi!!! so im very hopeful that kawi comes out with a total "game changer" in 2011:)

I really hope this bike isn't just hype. I will be waiting for it to really hit the streets before I say too much more. Some real dyno graphs from multiple sources would be great. I think it's a bit fugly but I still want one heh.

I doubt I will ever see one for sale anywhere near the base price though. The Bimmer dealerships here seem to only carry bikes with every tangible option and a hefty sticker price.

These words got my attention :

Hydraulic valve tightening mechanism - Variable intake control.
Engine Management with Anti-Knock Control.
Dynamic Traction Control.
Redline of 14,200 rpm.

I have a dream...a kawi with pneumatic valves and true (and working) DTC.
