Never had to change out a battery before. But local dealer said I have to take the strips off 2 pieces I think an acid box? And let it drain together for about 30 min. Then hook up to something for 4 hours...? I can't just plug it in and go?I have no experience with this obvisoily

They are easy to fill. 2 things to keep an eye on though. First, don't wear a shirt that you care about. Even the smallest little splash of electrolyte will put pinholes in your clothes. Second, when you put the cap on, make sure it's lined up just right and gently tap it in. If you bugger it up, it's pretty hard to fix it. I don't know where you can get just a cap. Unless, of course, your new battery has the old screw type caps but I haven't seen those in years.

Put it on a charger for a long slow charge and you're done!

If it ever stops raining, enjoy a ride. I don't think winter is ever going to stop around here. Every day is like the movie Groundhog Day. :headshake
