New Addition?

So apparently a guy traded in a 2016 ZX10R KRT yesterday (I work at a dealership) and I just happened to pick up on it.

The bike has 1700 miles and had a light off on the left side, priced the plastics at around a grand to bring it back to new. It's fairly minor but the tires are shot, that kinda worries me, meh.

Either way, I brought it home and cleaned it up tonight and even though I haven't had a chance to push it hard yet , it seems to be pushing the right buttons for me. I can get this thing fairly cheap as well.

Whadda ya think?

You dad gum skippy Brotha.
he ripped it and dumped it cause it didn't work. My question to you is WHAT did he buy.

It depends on what Fairly Cheap is...

How can the tires be gone at 1700 miles?

I think that he traded for an F150, by the looks of it, it certainly didn't work for him
I can get it for 10k and after today's ride, it's not going anywhere.
Thanks for the welcome folks

I'm not entirely sure how he buggered the tires in 1700 miles, likely the same way he buggered the left side fairings.

I like the bike, it's not what I'm used to so far as power delivery and the tank feels about a mile wide but the suspension is phenomenal. It's plush without a hint of wallow. There's a shitty patch of asphalt mid curve on the way up wooly back that unsettles everything, it's a fucking nightmare and for some reason the state won't fix it, they just put up a sign before the curve that says "dip". This one ate it without a wiggle, completely drama free, that sold me.

That's not hard to do. Incorrect pressure will eat up tires. Of course, a racetrack will too. Knowing it was ridden hard is a good thing. Break it in right!

It's an impressive bike on the whole. First on the list will be a good set of rearsets though, have to get the pegs down an inch or so. The bar location is great but the peg height is killing my knees.

I wonder if anyone had found a good mirror blockoff for this bike yet?
I ordered a set of S21's today. I run Q3's on all of my other bikes but the service manager I talked to the other day swears by the S21's so I figured that I would give them a shot. They're rather cheap and there's a $50 rebate until the end of the month that brings the price down to around $150 for a front and rear set.

NRC has a blockoff kit that includes integrated turn signals to replace the ones on the mirrors. I don't have them, but I've always liked the way they look.
Yup, that's the kit that Guid sells. I dig it and will probably go that route, I just hope the headlight housing is easier to break into than my Tuono's was.

Ended up going with R&G mirror block off plates and using a CRG arrow, it's sufficient but I'll likely replace it with a round bar end.

The surging problem seems to have been cured by a flash from Superbike Unlimited. I haven't had a chance to take it out yet as it's been raining like hell and my screen hasn't arrived yet.

I ordered a 16 tooth front sprocket today and broke everything down tonight so I can button it up quickly tomorrow. Kawasaki are serious about torquing their front sprocket nuts apparently, the 1150 struggled a bit and for a moment I wondered whether it was left hand thread.

The lower fairing and cowl are still on backorder, hopefully production will catch up in the near future.

Well, second day riding with the tune and revised gearing and I can officially say, this thing is fucking brutal. It's what I would imagine driving an F1 car on the street would be like, frantic, loud, uncomfortable, and things happen very quickly. Precise throttle control is of the utmost importance.

It's a hell of a lot of fun though. It's responded well to the S21's and the brakes and suspension are phenomenal.

To be honest that scratch doesnt look that bad. You could get that repaired although i would say i just picked up a whole new krt bodykit for less than your saying for a side panel! Id patch it up and keep an eye out for a full kit. Then you can sell parts you dont need
