Ok I love my 2012 ZX10r but my biggest bitch with my bike is it really has no lower end gear power..Tired of other stock bikes pulling away from me and im full throttled...:dontknow:..Im not a big guy either. thinking of changing my sprockets out..

What do you all recommend for anew chain and sockets???????

Full exhaust and tune helps a lot too.

i just coverted to a 520 chain setup with a -1 in the front and +2 in the back and i must say it improved low end ALOT. Rifleman throttle insert will also get it there even faster than normal.

So, i have to ask - What stock bikes are pulling away from you?? And what mods do you have?

I have two buddies that ride 2010 bmw stock and they both pull away from me in lower gears . Bike is slow as shit till about 6k rpm then it bike takes off . And is way faster then both Bmw at 5 and 6th gear. I need more lower end since most track riding and street riding for that matter is run in 1,2,3, gears... anyways
My set up
2012 zx10r abs, ecu flashed , emissions removed except cat. Thats next to come off. Slip on can installed now.
Thanks for any info

-1 on the front, only thing you want....

shorter than that lose top end
Yep throw some gear at it. Kill the cat when you can. Can you shave any weight anywhere? Little things add up weight wise.

I know it sounds silly but if you can swing it get yerself a Anti-Gravity battery for instant weight savings and if you buy sprockets go for what is light with maybe some Ti nuts
-1F (or +2 Rear) and Rifleman
Ok called Mike at riders discount and he hook it up for me..thanks all for the sugestion...

If you really want to go for it I'm running a 17-43 supersprox setup and it launches like crazy 1-3 wheelies all day and clutch ups in 5-6 ..
When I got the bike it had 18-39 gearing and it was slow on start but would run out the speedo then I went to 17-42 and it was good for all riding conditions now it's unpredictable if you come out the corner to hard it'll stand up if you top a hill it'll stand up ..you just have to tame it that's all..
It did have a pciii on it when got it and was not happy with it ,now two months have past since I took the pciii off and wow now i got to hold on it's like a new bike ..you can see it run on YouTube ( zx10rlanier)
I converted to a 520 EK chain and sprockets and went plus three in the rear.
If you go beyond -1 on the front.... that top end speed will be lost...
