Ok, i noticed some strange noise coming from my bike:

Noise is steady and doesn't go louder if i rev engine;

Noise is high frequency, sounds like some steady squeak;

It is not from gas pressure, because if i open tank cap, it won't go away;

Noise is coming from inside of fuel tank, or below it but not from engine;

I can hear it when engine is warm up (not cold!) and when engine is on idle rpms. If i rev engine, i can't hear it but this is because engine sound becomes higher and this strange steady noise is too low to hear it.

I can hear it very well if i put my ear beside fuel tank.

Can anyone who has 08 bike please do such little test and say if they can hear something or not, because i need to know what to do next... Just start your engine, do not rev it, and wait until it gets warm and just put ear beside tank and listen to such squeaky noise,

Thanks

If it is a constant noise without any increase with RPMS then it is probably just the fuel pump spinning, if it is a load squeek then the pump is working too hard.

It is constant noise, and it won't get louder if i rise rpms. But it is not so loud, because after 2000+ rpms i can not hear it anymore.

But below ~2000rpms, i can hear it always....

I wonder if other guys have it too, or is there something wrong with fuel pump? Or maybe it is alternator?
