What Motul oil did you use Scout?if it was 300v that amount of mileage you have done is about all its good for I believe!its a race oil and should be changed often!let us no mate hope your well
idk exactly as dealer put it in when I had service just over a week ago. Might be the bike aging but didn't notice any aging on the '11 until it blew up at 50k. I'll know more when I get amsoil back in it. I suspect tech guy put in the good stuff as he said that he has not worked on any g4's coming in looking like mine. He mucked up my dash and had the race mode on it. Took me awhile to figure out how to get the speed mode back up. I'm kinda wondering if tech can get a rpm/speed graphic from memory. Dang computers stuff. What Motul oil did you use Scout?if it was 300v that amount of mileage you have done is about all its good for I believe!its a race oil and should be changed often!let us no mate hope your well
Yes, the clunk I never hear with ams, but did notice it yesterday BUT not today. Was just a bit hotter, in temp, yesterday. idk. I wouldn't worry about breaking in this bike. I just pound it...as long as in comfort zone. Never know who's reading this in the future. The way you ride you should change early, change often. I am finding same on my bikes, shifting starts to go clunk. Still breaking mine in, shifting is not quite there yet.
Oil "discussions" seem to be a very polarizing topic as of late. I wouldn't normally get into an oil thread, but the Motul 300 oil does seem to break down pretty quickly and cause the trans to feel clunky and harder to shift. It has happened to me in two different bikes. It'll be fine for a race weekend, but I won't use it in a street bike again. What Motul oil did you use Scout?if it was 300v that amount of mileage you have done is about all its good for I believe!its a race oil and should be changed often!let us no mate hope your well
