The other day I was checking an oil leak on my 2007 ZX10R. I removed the stator cover and resealed It with gasket sealer. When I installed the cover on unknowingly one of the guide bolts fell in the stator. I went to turn my bike on and I heard a rattling noise but didn’t know what It was ran the bike down the block and came back turned It off and went to turn It back on and again a rattling noice. Turned It off once more and turned It on then my headlights went out and dash immediately i knew something was wrong with the stator I went back to open It and surely the stator was ate up by the bolt and the black plastics on the flywheel rotor were all broken off. I removed the trash that was left in the cover replaced the stator and flushed the oil and filter and added new oil. When I went to put the bike in first gear the clutch wouldn’t catch. Do you think it’s possible that the trash has anything to do with that and if so what should be the best option for me to do ?
