Ive owned several "flat finished" OEM painted bikes. Typically if you use rubbing compound on them, it will shine it up some. Overall though, regular cleaning is a no brainer and the finish stays perfect. I've got the 16' flat black non ABS. Just did a thorough cleaning after an Arkansas trip. Cleaned up very well.
