Looking for a starter motor for the gen 4 ZX10.

Mine went out and I don't have the 485$ or 375$ to buy it brand new. Was going to get it rebuilt for 175$ but checking to see if anyone wants to sell....
It would be so much easier to swap the faulty starter with a working one than sending it in for days.

You may want to verify exactly what will be rebuilt in it if you go that route. The failures lately seem to be related to the magnetic pieces delaminating away from the casing. That can't be rebuilt. If they are claiming that they can rebuild it and you're getting that price for the work, it's worth it. The 3 used starters currently on eBay have a price of $299 which is the going rate for the used ones. Not that much cheaper than a new one in that case. A complete starter will be quicker to replace than sending yours out, but it won't be as cheap. That all depends on whether they can actually rebuild it.

Pretty crazy as i just had this happe to me today... never in my life have i seen a starter motor go on a motorcycle. Same thing with the magnetic pieces
