Hey guys, I'm new in the zx10r world. Recently purchased a 2012 zx10r racer and have been told by various racers long and flat is good[emoji108]. So I'm wondering is there a measurement from front sprocket or similar to rear axle center? It's currently long in the adjustment anyway but I'll be changing the gearing and want to maintain length. I could just as easily put it back where it is now, was just wondering if there a common measurement racers are using
Well, first off you need to be a bit more specific. Long and flat usually only works in drag racing and porn. If you're road racing, that ain't gonna work too well for turning. So the term "long and flat" is so open-ended there's nothing to go on with that. :dontknow:
Yeah, I'm picking up what your laying down, long Def Doesn't make sense for a nimble bike. My local requires 16/42 thought having on the long side to tame down wheelie and t/c maybe. I'll just run it where it was. Guy running it previous to me buying was taking home the chocolates
Sorry if I've confused bike setup with porn ha
What length chain is best for track use, suggestions being maximum length permissible by swing arm maintaining optimum chain tension. I expect personal style the track and a whole host of other gubbins would dictate the answer.
Yeah, fair call. Just wondered if it was a zx10r thing Cobba
