G'day ZX10R'ers! Although I've been riding bikes since pre school years , I'm 1 very green newbie to the 2015 ZX10R, & this being my very 1st Kwaka. Where i was absolutely lost when a red light cluster warning stating "FI"?( fuel injection system) The owner manual was useless with any answers! Then checked fuses & all good! & well i naturally thought fuel injection system problem, & after spending hours going over the entire FI system looking for anything abnormal, & found sweet "FA"! The whole FI system is in perfect condition, & it also works perfectly? So now I'm even more confused? Not knowing kwaka logic? I started checking & doing stuff nothing to do with the FI system, where after about hour 9 i took my new battery from my R1 & replaced it on my ZX10R & who would guess? The red FI warning cluster display was no longer! So who would guess a low volt battery that still starts 1st turn, will show up on a ZX10R cluster as red light FI warning? Where my yamaha & honda will display a easy to understand low battery voltage warning? Hey even Kawasaki didn't tell me what it mean's, but I'm thinking they proberly did, but just wanted my $ to tell me? Good grief! Is this leading owners down the garden path with intent that we bring em into Kawasaki to get a shake down? Or is it really how kwaka realy thinks? Either way, being my very 1st error show up on a kwaka? & having to go towards a totally different cause to fix it? Has got me concerned, where if on my CBR RR or my R1? It wouldn't have taken 2 days to change a dieing battery.

Stuff like this happens on my bike occasionally. Usually, just cycling the key off/on fixes it. The electronics are very sensitive to battery voltage at start-up it seems. That's my only explanation. It just happened to me with a new battery, fully charged. Mine is a 2016 however.
Imagine spending 9 hours trying to figure out why you have a fault indicator light instead of just having the codes read. Also, disconnecting the battery resets the check engine light so don't be surprised when it comes back
Get the service manual instead of the owners manual bro
I don't know about other gen's but I have a 2015 as well and first time this happened to me was late fall and the bike had sat for a couple of weeks and the engine cranked over slowly (low battery voltage) and the FI light came on and the red warning light never turned off after start so immediately I shut it off and started looking through the manual. It's a false alarm and comes on after a start with low battery. I don't know why, but my 2015 will eat a battery sitting still doing nothing so I make sure to keep the tender on my Ninja if it's going to be down for more than a couple of weeks. The warning light will go out after a couple of key cycles.

Thanks for the upload, thank christ for the ZX10R forum! As like i said I'm new born to Kwaka logic, & i did try cycling ignition 1st up, where red warning "FI" would just stick there? Now knowing kwaka's are very sensitive for battery monitoring, be it telling me a FI error? Where my only go to for me, presently is the totally useless owner manual. As even though she would spin up & fire on 1st turn over, once i pulled the battery, & put it through a check, & my ZX10R was right as far as the warning, all be it leading me down the garden path stating FI?, that battery is starting to fail, all be it just start'n? Which would of been a kick ass heads up if it pointed to my actual battery? But all the nibbles aside! After hop'n on this ride? No wonder J.R took all the WSB crown's from 2015 to 2020, breaking records do'n it, sit'n on such Dragon's that were totally untouchable in those slick 6 years!
So no doubt! with my no knowledge of how, what, & where on Kwaka's? I'll be writing up, & bending ears of experience for answers on this forum, for a while, or until i Kwaka up

Mate i had just bought it & was taking her home, only with the bill of sale & owners manual, & she pulled this FI red warning ? This 2015 ZX10R is a storage bike with 3200K's (2000 ml's) OD, & we all know it's a punt to let a bike sit for years. & I've ordered a service manual, but that will arrive when the posty is ready? So in the mean time, & you know as well too, service manuals dont have all the answers, where I'll always look to experience, where such forums are the GO!
Hi, not sure if this is related or not but I’ve recently been getting the yellow warning light and ESD on the dash. Doesn’t seem to be an issue with the dampener so wondering if it’s to do with the battery as well? 2014, starts first time and voltage ‘appears’ ok. Anyone have any thoughts?

Power cycle
The ESD light can come on for various reasons
One is starting the bike while moving it's happened to me
Another is voltage fluctuations
A power cycle should fix it if it's a one off
