Well, I tried selling the 10R here for some time and even had the price down a ways. But through artful and complex dealings, it looks as though I am going to be able to continue riding SuperSports albeit not a 10R. I am doing some trading and am coming out with a "new" (as in, has not left the show room floor yet) 2008 ZX-14 and a significant drop in overall debt. That means the Harley goes away with the 10R, which was paid for. So I will as of tomorrow, unless something unexpected arises, be the proud owner of a fully paid for 2008 midnight metallic blue Kawasaki ZX-14. More comfortable for me than either the Harley or the 10R. Just need to trailer the bikes to the other side of the state. Leaving tomorrow at 0530. Pictures when I get back.

I have even thought about trading in the 10 for a 14. Can't wait to see pics.

Congrats. The good part is you got rid of the Harley. Not a easy thing to do. Have you seen how many are for sale in the papers? Must be 50 for every 1 jap bike. The ZX14 is a awesome bike, I have a feeling you'll be very pleased.

Just rolled in. :badteeth: Tired as Hell, but I've got the ZX-14...oooohh, she's sweet. Rode her the last 30 miles (would have been more but the wind was blowing like a mutha). I love this bike. Smooth and plenty, plenty of power. Seat to handlebar angle more comfortable for me. Did I mention she has mucho power...

For the record, we had first rate service at Renton Motorcycles. Over here on the desolate Eastern side of Washington we have nothing to compare. Renton Motorcycles is the Mecca of motorcycles. They've got like 1300 bikes in inventory. It is awesome. BTW, they are selling '09 ZX-10's for $7999, if I remember right. Pictures of my new baby tomorrow. Later.

Awesome ride ..congrats... but not for me... I was actually offered one at the same exact price as my '08 10r because it just sat on the showroom floor... I guess because I live on this congested island, people are looking for "light and quick" 6's and 10's... I almost considered it but I'm 5' 10" and only 150 lbs... this thing was waaay tooo big and heavy for me to maneuver and I really couldn't see myself negotiating through the super tight twisties I ride through here on Long Island... If I lived out west where there are long, straight roads for hours on end, I wouldn't hesitate on getting the 14 over the 10! BTW, I got my 10 for $7,200.00 (8 grand OTD with taxes, reg, freight, setup and all) and that's what they were offering me the 14 for... I'm told it uses quite a lot of gas when you ride it like ya stole it?

I shot some photos early this morning, before I even had coffee.
This bike seems to handle easier for me, really smooth and responsive. Not "better" than the 10R, just easier for me. I am on the bigger side though (6' - 240lbs) and maybe that has something to do with it. Anyway, to the photos...

And last, but not least, I still wear my tribute to the forum...
