That is why i asked if you are using a map or are you on default?
Another question is: can you describe as best as you can the weirdness of the idle? Is it when hot? Is it on cold? Always? Misfire?
Then we might find out what is going on. Maybe post a short video with the sound it makes.

I had the chance to test out the engine braking and that was the cause of the bike cutting off just from rolling off the throttle. I increased the engine braking map from 1 to 3 and problem solved. The engine braking map 3 felt like the old 1 to me. I didn't have to change the bike setup too much and it didnt feel like I was free rolling into the corner either.

I am using the 2019 kit and the first part of the throttle seems smooth and then I have a bit of a flat spot and then the power comes on strong again. The air fuel is spot on 13.1 in the flat feeling area. Does anyone else have this issue?

Well I just purchased the Ftecu update to the Kit ECU. I think I see why it feels flat in the mid range. I'll test it on Sunday

Yes they do. It's really nice. All the base mapping is exposed and the KRT settings are separated. It makes it really easy to work with. I wired the ftecu active tune to the Kit wireharness. It made making a base map really fast and in addition I added the Aim MXS 1.2 dash. Ftecu's software pushes additional data channels to the Aim data logger.

Very cool, I’m not gonna trust myself with making adjustments just yet, so I’ll have my tuner do it at the track until I get used to the bike again. Good to know you can do stuff like that though.

Spurious Fault Codes

Has anyone
found a way to access changes on the dash when a fault code is already flashing? Our Kit ecu is giving an exhaust servo code 34, and being a race set up there is no exhaust servo, and we are told the ECU should not recognise a Servo Fault code. The flashing fault is preventing us changing maps or doing other changes.

What changes does the "1.10 Advanced software" bring on top of the original software that comes with the Kit ECU?

Already ordered the 1.10 CD at my local dealer, but it still takes one and a half week to arrive, and I am really curious.
If anyone has the documentation about the changes in a PDF or such, could you please e-mail it to me?

The most drastic difference in my opinion is the revised engine braking strategy. It is much more intrusive in the higher engine brake settings to the point that it was actually killing the engine while blipping at idle. You can find all the info on the 1.00 and 1.10 software here, as well as service manuals, etc. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1wjI9Q2zW4G5pDYlI_xQZJWYopdprU-oj

Do you have to have the stock dash plugged in still to retain the TC button controls? I really want to get rid of my chrome plus dash and move the MXS but as of several months ago that was one of the limitations with the Aim, it required the stock dash to still be present to retain the TC/EB/Power mode controls.

Thanks! :notworthy: Will give it a go at a local dyno to have a basic setup before going to the next track day.

Do you know whether it is still possible or not to go back to the v1.00 version of the software and have those settings that I currently have, in case of something is not working as it should with the newer v1.10?

Are you saying that you can not use the after market buttons/switches with the AIM dash?

The new software allows more adjustment in the offsets of maps. Other than that everything is the same.

Yes, make sure to save the v1.0 file and don't overwrite it when going to v1.10. The software doesn't allow you to have both versions installed simultaneously. Easy way around this is to set up a Windows 7 VM using VMware Fusion/Workstation and take a snapshot of the VM on v1.0, then uninstall it and install v1.10 and snapshot that. This is what I do with VMware Fusion on my Macbook and I can go back and forth between snapshots within seconds if I need to try something between versions.

The kit ECU flash will be coming soon as the 2019 FIM Superstock regulations change so that teams have to run standard ECU. So, everyone will have to switch to something similar to what BMW have been doing with the HP Calibration kits. Wouldn’t doubt the 2019 zx10 gets an updated ECU.

Looks like they didn't go down this route, new kit ecu part number for 2019 zx-10r/rr: 21175-1540

still uses same kit harness and PC cable as 16-18 though
