I'm glad you found my post on the hotbodies growler useful. You'll like it I think. If I had it to do over again, the pipe comes in two pieces that are slip fit together. I'd put the piece that attatches to the boom box in the freezer for a half hour or so to make it slide on easier. Make sure you get the slots/tabs for the exhaust spring lined up correctly as once I pushed the two pieces together, I don't think it's coming apart again. Fortunately, mine is lined up good, so no probs. It didn't come with instructions either, but it was quite self explanatory. I did use the washer from the back of the OEM exhaust mount and put it in between the mounting clamp on the rear footpeg mount to keep the clamp from being too tigh and cracking the carbon fiber potentially.

I have to ask, what did you pay for the bike? Assuming/hoping you got a good deal.

Your post was helpful. Not to mention saved me 20.00. I owe you a couple beersccasion1. Did not get a smoken deal. Good for around here though. 11,000 otd. I looked all over the state and I could of saved a couple hundred out of town. Was not worth the travel though. I try and give the local guys business if they are close. They were. There are a bunch of good people at this dealer.
Those Eastcoast guys get some really good deals. I saw some 08's in the 8's. We seem to get hosed on the Westcost.

very nice. I feel ya on the 115, I'm from phoenix and it 115 here too. and has been all july. theres no relif. the other day my garage was so hot the adheasive on the double sided velcro that holds on my speedo healer melted. I has to upgrade to a better velcro. sweet bike though. I want one real bad

Sweet bike. Is the 115 dry heat or is it humid also. We get up to 100 - 103 on occasion in Houston, but it is a humid heat which makes it worse.

New to the forum. Just got a new 08. Had to get it right home and ditch the tag bracket, reflectors, and stickers. I have a Hotbodies Growler want-a-b on the way( thanks to speedgsx9 for the 20 off code ). Also have the full spread of slide protection coming from Champindustries thanks to this site. Wish it wasn't 115 outside. Here's a couple before and after pics.

What a beast!!! Just wait until it's broken in... They FING RIP!!! 189MPH ALL DAY long... CBR1000 lol... I can blow by the CBR without WOT :crackup:

Thanks for the replies and all the welcomes. I am going to leave the mirrors on awhile, thanks though. The 115 here is pretty dry. Nothing like Houston or Florida.
I am driving to phoenix today to pick up a Triumph Speed Triple for a friend(couldn't talk him out of it). Phoenix is way cooler according to people around the area. Sometimes as much as 1 degree. Glad we got the fastest color figured out also. Black it is.:ayyy:

I don't think so, black is always faster, thats what Melandri says on his all black Hayate bike this year. Green ones never made it so high as this year.
