First off, :welcome: to the site.

Secondly, the TRE has been around for years and has been used on the ZX-10 without issues. Whether or not it actually does anything meaningful to the performance of the bike is subject to numerous debates on here.

If you're talking about the removal of the off-throttle fuel cut, then no, it won't harm the catalytic converter.

Unburnt fuel destroys the cat, that's why newer model have λ sensors...
In theory, unburned fuel will reduce the efficiency of the cat, but it's not likely to "destroy" it under the conditions I'm referring to. And eliminating the off-throttle fuel cut is equivalent of adding a just a tad of fuel to the map at closed throttle settings. There is still a spark and this fuel will still combust in the chamber. The small amount amount of extra fuel getting to the cat will just not be catalysed fully. But you could basically simulate this condition by cracking the throttle slightly instead of fully closing it. Doing this is something that would happen while riding, but not harm the cat.

Now, if raw, uncombusted fuel gets to the cat, the heat from it could cause it to ignite and overheat/melt the core thereby destroying it. That would only happen in a badly malfunctioning motor. In reference to the TRE, there's no concern other than a possible reduction in efficiency.

Can a PCIII be used to eliminate the closed throttle shut off on a GEN1?
I ask this because i bought the bike with a PCIII and dont really want to go and buy a TRE if it can be done with the PC?

The PC3/5 is between the ECU and the injectors... When the ECU cuts the power to the injectors, the PC loses it's power as well.

The catalyst will not be damaged in any way by stopping fuel cut.... whoever said this does not know what they are talking about. :bs:

The AIS should be disabled as well so that accurate exhaust readings can be gotten when tuning the bike.

Using my TRE will disable fuel cut and eliminate the root cause of throttle abruptness on the first 3 Gens of this bike without cutting any wires.
The Gen 3 will lose it's gear indicator and traction control.

What most people that know nothing about business haven't realized about my TRE's and some of the other products that I have is that they are manufactured products in the USA and at USA labor prices.
This applies to all electronics...
(and everything else that is a manufactured product)

All electronics are inexpensive when sold as parts only.... the cost in them to be purchased by the end user is mostly labor.... But there is more cost than some of you would like to think that there is.

Internal electronic parts
Connectors
Terminals
Terminal seals
Shrink wrap
Labels
Plastic enclosures
Potting epoxy
Labor to assemble
Shipping on all the assembly parts
Labor to package
Business cards
Instruction sheets
Ink for printer
Plastic bags for packaging
Header cards for packaging
Labor to tech support properly
Lifetime warranty to replace as needed

Then for adequate marketing when needing to reach a lot of people fast, there needs to be a structured % markup at each level... Otherwise, nobody would want to carry the product.

Everyone needs to make money...
Nobody wants to work for free as none of you would either....

For ZX10R.net members, I would be happy to offer a subtantial discount...

Sure... I am willing to give the ZX-10R.net members 35% off.. this applies to the TRE product only.
(lifetime warranty still applies for as long as we are making them)

My servo eliminators will also carry the same 35% discount for the ZX-10R.net members.
(lifetime warranty still applies for as long as we are making them)

Shipping costs are not included.
(fed-ex is the only way we ship within the USA)
(USPS express mail outside the USA)

The order must be given via PM with a daytime phone # first
(by phone will not be discounted)

There is no tech support via anything else but the old fashioned telephone under any circumstances.

I want pipe and power commander sales too.. not just my own products.

If there is a substantial amount of business that is conducted over the next few months, then I will consider advertising here again.

Thanks,

Ivan

Ivans price is more than fair

I think the price is fair and the service you provided was very helpful and informative. I am in a different business and i hate whinny sacks who want a discount. You pay just like everyone else does. I hear this more times in one day than i could care to hear it for the rest of my life. I have an Ivans performance TRE in my gen 1 ZX10R and i bought it directly from ivans along with his Pc3 and custom map and i have no issues and love it here at 8300' above sea level. You will need to get used to the TRE for sure as it is most noticeable on engine braking. Man for that discount i would almost buy another even though i don't need one:badteeth:
I didn't find out about IVANS through and advertisement though..........It was just word of mouth in the forum and i happened to see it being talked about and got interested.

If only i could get enough money to got a new race exhaust syetem.
