I had mine welded for $50 bucks and skipped the whole run-around with kawi. Still holding strong!

I'm on the facebook group but no update since January.
The letter was sent to Kawasaki? Any reply?
Just an update for anyone interested.
Shortly after contacting them, my facebook account was hacked.
The page was left up but all documents and pictures were deleted
and my password was changed.
So I don't even have access to it anymore.

Things that make you go Hmmmmmm.

Plus, I've been told they were monitoring this site for what was being said.
Cannot divulge who told me that.

That is certainly curious... Instead of paying someone (potentially) to hack usefull info they should just pay for their screwup.

Just keep a check on your frame bro and you should be fine.
Hell, mine was cracked and I rode the piss out of it like that before i knew.
And it was cracked on both sides of the frame at the motor mounts.

Ive got a mint 04 with about 4500 miles on it that is starting to show the small hairlines along the welds on both sides. This bike still has the original tires, chain, and sprockets. No way those cracks are from abuse. Im going to take it to my buddy's dealership and see if the kawi rep will give me a new frame. I dont want them to do any work, I just want a replacement frame. It might be a few weeks but I'll let you know what they say.

This is grate I'm in the middle of switching frames right now.
I was going to weld it sense that's what I do for a living but
I had a feeling if it's cracked in one spot it's cracked in a nother
After striping the frame down sure as shit found a monster crack
On the other side that's in the center of the wild and under the
Motor mount it's about 7" long so I'm very happy I went with a
New frame. But if there really this many ppl with broken frames
Kawi needs to step up and eat there pride!

If you get a replacement frame from Kawasucki your bike will be branded "salvage rebuilt" regardless of how nice it is. That's another sweet deal due to kawasucki not stepping up and calling it a recall.

That only happens in some states, not all.

How the heck does swapping a frame change the status on the title? And which states adhere to this policy?

It's easy to get around, but when you apply for the numbers to be transferred to the blank frame, some states require a DMV inspection of the complete vehicle to be road worthy and it will be issued a rebuilt title by a state inspector. Not sure which states hold true to this law.
