yeah, just to tweak recalls. So the '11 has the recall about the oil whatever, therefore the newer engines are now engineered for correction. Just look at the recalls and then you'll know how much more you're getting with the '14, or whatever. Also, builders are always changing certain parts from time to time, and not always for the better.
Remember, just follow the money cause that's what they want.
As stated above, the recall on the 2011, but to my knowledge it is not an overly common problem. A few guys on here did the recall themselves as a precaution, but others followed "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Just look for dampness in that area.
My 2012 had the recall work done and some toolbag left a shop rag on top of my motor when they fixed it. Needless to say I was pissed to find it when I bought the bike new w 0 miles and this had been done.
