Torx for the damper, a 36mm socket for the top nut and allen wrenches for everything else. Philips driver for the controls of course. There no easy workaround. Put masking tape on the top triple before using the socket on the big nut or you'll leave scratches. A flat head to slightly open up the fork tube clamps helps to get triple off and on.
Installing aftermarket Clipons steps?
Hi, so I bought a lightly wrecked 16' ZX10R that needs new clipons installed. Was wondering whether someone who's done it can guide me on what the steps I should take? I assume the damper has to come off first to access the nut for removing the top triple tree but maybe there's a workaround? Also will I need the specific tools for the torx security screw and head stem nut or again is there another way of removing them? Cheers for any help.

Don't forget about the allen bolts on the underside that lock the clip ons to the triple.
