welcome back
Haha I got a 2005 a few months ago & am redoing a good portion of the mods I did 12 years ago to my first Gen1... & undoing bad work from the previous 2 owners (Lord it pays to wait for the perfect bike & that ain't my scenario right now).Funny stumbling onto this post. I sold my 2004 in 2007, & am actively looking for a low mileage 2005.
Man! I feel your pain. The 2005 I just picked up was not handled with the most care. I dont know about you, but in SF bay area where I am these things aint too abundant, so I wouldnt feel too bad about putting in the wrench time and green stuff. I think these things will become pretty collectible down the road too. But thats just IMO.Haha I got a 2005 a few months ago & am redoing a good portion of the mods I did 12 years ago to my first Gen1... & undoing bad work from the previous 2 owners (Lord it pays to wait for the perfect bike & that ain't my scenario right now).
I'm in the DC area & we have same issue (not that many for sale... & not many good ones).
For sure, I'm doing everything right for this one & don't plan to sell it.
