I'm Back,
It has been a few years since I have been on this sight. I was a dumb ass and sold my bike. I did how ever just buy another 05 ZX10R and have to do all the mods I did on the last one.
This time i plan on doing write ups for everything just like I did for the Rifleman 1/5 insert. I am also going to try and find a way to convert hem to PDF and post them so they can be printed out for reference, See you all on the road later and keep the rubber side down.

welcome back
Thanks for the great write up on the 1/5 throttle insert and welcome back.
:welcome: Back!!
Funny stumbling onto this post. I sold my 2004 in 2007, & am actively looking for a low mileage 2005.
:hello: Welcome Back!~ Always great to have write ups explaining in detail to mod/install stuff properly!

Haha I got a 2005 a few months ago & am redoing a good portion of the mods I did 12 years ago to my first Gen1... & undoing bad work from the previous 2 owners (Lord it pays to wait for the perfect bike & that ain't my scenario right now).

Man! I feel your pain. The 2005 I just picked up was not handled with the most care. I dont know about you, but in SF bay area where I am these things aint too abundant, so I wouldnt feel too bad about putting in the wrench time and green stuff. I think these things will become pretty collectible down the road too. But thats just IMO.
I'm in the DC area & we have same issue (not that many for sale... & not many good ones).

For sure, I'm doing everything right for this one & don't plan to sell it.

Yeah I my 05, that I have had from new, just getting back into riding her again she has been in storage for awhile....

It has about 5000km/3000 miles on her....

She is defiantly a keeper now.....
Wow, good to see some old members coming back! Wish more would.
Be as patient as you can and dont be afraid to travel a few hundred miles to find what you really want. I spent the day driving about 4-500 miles roundtrip for the bike i wanted. WB!
