I wanted to remove my rear pegs and did so today until I noticed the rear brake resevoir is supporting by the peg, so Im not sure what to do. I was wondering if anyone else can maybe explain what I can do. Pictures would be great so I can see what you guys did. Thanks for the help.

You can actually remove it :)

I have seen a few that replaced the resevoir with just a short tube and cap (I am pretty sure I saw some pics on here too). There isn't much need for more fluid than that in the rear.

on my 06..

The rear peg on that side just acted as a guard.
It bolted on to the fau-heat shield, plastic guard for heat burn.
I looked at it abit before I removed both rear pegs myself.
Works fine, jiggles a little but the whole Damm bike jiggles a little!
