First remove left side fairing(s)-
Remove counter shaft cover-
Remove counter shaft sprocket-
Drain oil-
Drain coolent-
At this point you can losen hose clamps on the two big radiator hoses-
Pull them off the cooler housing-
Remove coolent pump cover-
Remove coolent pump- (takes a bit of back and forth weezing)
Remove Bearing "housing"cover (also takes a bit of patience and back and forth movement)

Replace with new "bearing housing" cover
Repeat above steps in reverse order....


I put this up so's the next poor sap (like me) that this happens to, dosent have to pay a mechanic or shop 400.00$ in labor to have this done.

its ended up costing about 325.00 in parts.
thats not including the oil to be replaced or the coolent.
or my friggin time.

it says-

EK520MVX on one side and Japan on the next link
AND- another thing I was just looking at the chain and I found ANOTHER link half way around the chain,from the break starting to tear away also!!

Ya, I think if you're regulalry hammering the bike you need at least a 525.

I'm in the clear there (installed ERV2 last summer), as I don't get much space to wind it out.
