Rode a 2001 zx-7 for 5 years before buying a 10R
How long did it take you to move up to a litre bike?

My first bike was a '99 zx-9r (best year for the zx-9...imo).....bought it used in July of '99. The previous owner bought it in april of '99 he just broke it in an put a pipe on it for me. :thumbsup: Rode it from july'99 to nov. '04.....tore the bike apart in dec. '04 to do major custom work but ran out of money an patience. Took the entire '05 riding season off! Zx-9r in pieces! dec. '05 rolls around an that's when I made up my mind I'm movin on to a zx10r! Feb. '06 I take a trip to Shaolin, NY home of the Wu-Tang Clan to see what kind of deal Staten Island Kawasaki could give me on the '06 zx-10r? The numbers were good an as they say the rest is history!:helmet:

98 gsx-600 for 6 years went to 07 zx6r to 08 zx10r

I rode since 16 years old... but I bought mi first bike on may 2005, a 1993 Ninja 600R, then moved to a 1998 ZX7R o november 2005. On august 2007 bought my 2007 ZX10R brand new and still have that beast.... I am in love with her

Many moons ago I had a zx6r.. put 13k miles on it then moved up to a R1 put 20k on it.. now have the Kawi with 4k on it.

Bought my Z1000 brand new and put 23k+ miles on it. Traded it for the 12R with 11.5K and it had 26k+ when it was stolen. Picked up the 10R with 22k on it and it now has 28k+...
Been on a litre bike (or better) since I started. But discipline and controlling my ego is what has kept me on two.:smile:

yamaha 200 twin 2cycle 3 yrs, honda 360 twin 4 yrs, hondacx500 for 6 yrs, honda hurricane 1000 for 6 years, vtr 1000 for yrs, yamaha fz1 for 5 years, 08 zx10r for one month...heli bars, steel braided front brake lines, mich. power ct front and back, lowered 2", welded out kickstand 3/4", full akrapovic, dyno pc commander 3, +2 vortex rear sprocket, went back to stock front sprocket. plan to enjoy it around town and drive it hard once a week with the ducati guys.

had a yz 80 as teenager (13-15), then the 10. wanted a zx6. guy at the dealership told me he wouldnt sell me one, so i got the 10. glad i did.:mrgreen:

he wouldnt sell you one, heck most people at dealerships really never walk a fresh squid over to a 1000, most will take you by the super sport 600cc or the little mid-class like the zzr600 or sv650s or something along those lines, I worked at a dealership for a little while and never once saw any sales rep walk up and say looking for a bike, you say yes, and he says what are you looking for in a bike, is this your first, you say yes, first place he walked everyone is by all the little 600's then the super sports ect. But I was the same way, I rode a dirt bike sense I was little kid, so when it came time to get a sportbike it was just one big dirt bike haha
