Ok, exterior:

Vinyl, except for the base. It's about 4.5 inches gap from the vinyl down to the concrete ground. The problem is that what is on the base of the house is some insulfoam or something like that. I'm not sure what it is, but it's pink.

Anyways it seems like it's not a good water insulator as some water goes down the crack of my house into my basement. I want to

1.) Put bricks down
2.) Seal off the cracks

I thought about using caulk and then putting down bricks and cementing it off at the base of the house. What do you think?

Dig around the foundation and coat it in a foundation sealer and then install a french drain system.
