After a race and my motor is in the 200 deg range I may have to shut it off for tech reasons, when I go to start it it wont crank fast enough while its heat soaked. Would it help to advance or retard the timing to the motor from 1-3K in the RPM range to help it start? Cold starts I have no issues starting it. Only right after a race.

I am running 20 degrees of advance at idle. That's +10 degrees over stock. Never have a problem, cold or hot starting.

Not sure that's your problem.
