Hi all,

I purchased a 2009 European Spec ZX10R engine to power me through a 6 day Rally Raid event in the Himalaya's called the Raid De Himalaya. I'm building a buggy around this engine.

I have some questions that I'm unlikely to find answers to such as, how many teach can I drop on the front sprocket (yes, I want to increase torque and reduce top speed, down to 120 mph)?

Other questions more standard, which is the strongest chain sprocket combo? Anyone turbo'd this engine and did it remain reliable? Beyond dropping teeth at the front and adding teeth at the rear, what else can I do (maybe to the intake and exhaust) to increase low down torque?

Any transmission issues I should be aware?

Would be great get your points of view, so throw them this way! :helmet:

www.gearingcommander.com will give you your gearing combinations you're looking for. Anything below a 15 tooth front is really too sharp a bend for the chain.

EK ZZZ chains have the highest strength rating that I'm aware of.

No tranny issues on the '09s that have been noted.
