Hi Everyone,

Long time owner of a ZX-9R and always faniced a little more, so got my hands on a 2004 ZX-10R recently.

Unfortunately due to my height the 10 just isnt comfortable to ride and seeing as it had a crunched 4th gear i decided to break it, sacrilage I know. But never fear I have kept all the best (and transferable bits) for myself and im in the process of making a ZX-9.5R

I have a few questions which im hoping some more experienced members of the forum can help me with, but wanted to post this first as some kind of explanation and apology for having dismantled such a special bike.

How extensive of a swap were you thinking?

Will the engine swap over?

I'm trying that at the moment, have all the hardware to mount it in the frame, just needs welding in place. Having issues with the immobiliser system at the moment which is slowing me down at the moment though!

Problem with hacked bikes like this is they have no resale value, you're better off finding a decent Gen 1 and modifying it with taller bars or whatever so you fit better

Gen 1 values (in good condition, low miles) are going nothing but up
