How do I tension this chain or does it need replacing

Not sure but suspect it's the CCT chain that does fail. Do a CCT search here; this is one link here;

CCT not clicking

i had one bolt almost all the way out on the CCT and the other about half way out and it didn't click ( and i made sure that i didn't just not hear it by tightening them both back up and the annoying kawi clacking is still there) whats the deal?

What is the issue you're experiencing? That's the oil pump chain, don't touch if you don't know what you're doing.
