Yup, I searched............

I need to hard wire (to switched power) a radar detector to a 2017 zx-10RR. It's a friend's bike, and I really want to avoid snapping any tabs for obvious reasons. Any tips/tricks, or videos?

Also, are there any switched power leads anywhere on the bike? Or do I have to tap in to the headlight power?

THANK YOU in advance

Not sure I'd go to the headlight. Maybe pull a triggering wire from that to a relay, then constant power from battery. Those radar detectors are pretty useless in general I feel... my opinion.

You're local to me aren't you? I recognize your handle from BCsportbikes.

I can walk you through the bodywork removal in person. It should be near identical to my 4th gen (2011-2015) and I've stripped/reassembled the body on this model 7 or 8 times already.

Not if you know what you are doing, they save me every time I ride.

I didn't think they were legal anywhere in Canada?
That being said, I have a buddy who has one. Whenever we go riding in the States, the lead rider pairs it to his headset to get the audio warning.
You can tap into the tail light and fish the wire up to the front. Not ideal, but I did it on my Gen 4 with only taking the seats and one of the tank side plastics off.

I help out Cooldaddygroove the other day. He got the detector wired up to the aforementioned ZX10RR after I took some panels off.

For himself, he has a really trick Escort setup with a Ram mount near his dash and a wireless warning light mounted inside his helmet.

Directly to battery running under tank plastic. On g4 I went left side. Wireless to helmet. TPX with techmount on top fork.
