Help me!Anyone have a custom map for my 10R mods?
Hello :hello: ,
I live in Caribean island and there's not dynocenter for remapping my PCIII in my island then I would like anyone send to me a custom map .

Here's my mods:-cylinder head work at Dano's performance
-Muzzy's head gasket
-Tre
-akra slip one
-Muzzy's block off plate
-Dano's racing intake cam
-Factorypro V stack + BMC race filter
-front sproket 16 ft
-rear sproket 38 ft


I 'm looking for anyone can send to me a map seem the mods

Last time I checked, there aren't any tracks in the Caribbean. Why the race track mods? Overkill for the streets for sure. Half the people down there can't drive worth a shit anyway!

Maybe because he wanted to do the mods? :dontknow: I tend to agree that most mods are overkill and pretty much wasted $$$ on the street, but I'm not gonna try to shit on his parade if it's his thing. :dontknow:

I'm not trying to rain on his parade either. I guess it is just more thinking aloud how many people waste the time and money(especially a camshaft change which requires removing the engine) on modifications that will have no benefit. And with those kinds of mods, to stop at only a slip-on is really mind boggling. All the work to massage the intake and no where for it to go??? Unless he bought it that way, a little common sense would help. I've been at the track for years and see/hear people and questions like this too much. I guess I shouldn't even read threads like this anymore because I am really not into talking down to people or cutting them down.

"how many people waste the time and money" I think the point is, that it's THEIR time and money. Up to them what they spend it on and how they spend it. Why di you waste your money on 2 bikes, when you have a car no doubt that holds more people and shelters you from the elements? lol Coz you wanted to maybe?

Nobody is gonna have the SAME mods as that bike, and they're ALL custom maps, done on someone else bike. Once you have it though, it ain't custom any more. Just try as many maps as you can find that are as close to what you have and use whatever you like best, or better yet, if one is great down low and another better up top, combine the maps to get the best from both. Hope this helps.

some would argue any bone stock liter bike is overkill for the street.

I don't think it is even an argument. They are all overkill for the street. If I hadn't found this '05 ZX-10R for $8300 with 2 miles on it, I would be on a metallic blue '06 636. And IMHO, all the people who spend thousands for performance mods when all they do is ride the street are fools. I don't care what anyone says about it is their money and all that crap. It's all an ego trip about having a bike with all that power, but 99.9% of the riders in this world can't use the potential of a stock 600 or 750, especially on the street. Cosmetic mods are great, or mods that make the bike feel better(rearsets, levers, tires etc.) are also great. But to spend thousands on cams, full exhausts, exotic computer programs and all the rest of the performance mods is a waste unless you hit the track every few weeks.

It might be a waste to you but for some of us we enjoy putting mods on and enjoy having a bike that is not the same as everyone else's. You might not understand that and thats alright.

i understand that we can masturbate on the street or make sweet love on the track...

that aside, are you telling me that i cant/havent pinned it wide open on the street??? maybe not often and maybe a gear or two only, but i like the feeling of acceleration and with the mods i've done to the engine/gearing my bike accelerates harder...thats what I got a literbike for in the first place...ever since my first kz1000 in the 80's straight line acceleration is where its at for me...i am maxed out now since the limiting factor is wheelies, so i'm satisfied with power...if you wanna talk safety start another thread, but this guy will be able to cross his island in a few fuggin minutes with his mods and maybe, just maybe, we all have dissimilar/unique reasons for getting this bike in the first place...i guess its all about "to each his own"...i dont understand why you would take such a hard stance to stick ALL of us engine modders into the ego/fools group...its your right tho...

I do understand the lust for straight line power. And "fools" was a poor choice of words on my part :redface: for all people who do engine mods. Like I said in my initial remarks, I shouldn't even reply to these threads becuase I get very jaded and cynical whenever I see this neurotic obsession with every little engine mod for street riding. Most should just re-gear and they will be stunned with the results. I have been in shop and tracks for about 15 years and seen too many knuckleheads and accidents from ego tripping sportbike riders. I guess to me, it seems like an obsession just for the sake of having something than really trying to reach a determined goal. I know it is to each their own. I'm not trying to talk anyone out of customizing their bike. I just wish people were doing it more for the riding than for the ego. And if this doesn't apply to anyone reading this, then it doesn't apply. I'm well aware it is our own money and bike to do what we want with.

Oh, I'm with ya. I laugh a little every time I see someone talk about buying an aftermarket air filter for 1-2 hp and doing a whole host of mods that "theoretically" stand to net them 1 hp here or 2 hp there when most have lilely never seen all a stock 10r will do. It's just that I had noticed a few of your postings in various threads that came across as harsh against people who done mods you didn't agree with and I didn't really think you meant it that way... or at least I hoped you didn't.

The fact is that people own bikes for different reasons. They also mod them for different reasons. Some do the hp mods to get more out of the bike while some do the mods for the "cool factor". As long as I'm not paying for their bikes or their mods I'm all for it. :mrgreen:

I think you have an excellent point and you just tend to come across a bit harsh. I'm with you on all the points you've brought up. I think maybe the fact that you're fairly new to the board and still a little unknown to us all has us taking your posts the wrong way. You sound like you've been in the game for a while and have some experience to back your point of view. I think your delivery of the message is simply a bit rough. And I'm beginning to see that you're just laying it on the line and telling it like it is, instead of trying to be a jerk about it. I think once you're established here, your point will be much better recieved. :wink:

:eek:ccasion1 Indeed you are correct. I definitely come across as a hardliner and don't mean too. We are all in this wonderful sport for enjoyment and I certainly don't want to sound like a jerk on a soapbox, which I have a tendency to do at times. Again for all you guys, "fools" was a poor choice of words. And to answer the original thread, you are going to have to tinker with the PCIII. You have some serious difference from stock with the intake cam. My first suggestion to you would be to upgrade the slip-on to a full system. To appreciate all the work you have had done to the intake, you have to reciprocate with the exhaust. A slip-on is not really sufficient. Buy the headers. Then, for lack of a tuning center, keep trying or a pay a tuner to get you a map from a bike he has worked on that is very similar to yours. A PC Wide Band Commander is not a bad idea as well. seen a few knucleheads in my time too...

i guess i get excited for anyone with an intense interest in bikes...
dont really care how it manifests itself...
if someone wants to obsess on all motor, fine(be careful, but fine)...
BUT i have my own pet peeves too...

BTW my next "phase" is focused solely on suspension and i will invest more time and money than i did in my motor...
my "determined goal" was engine done by 2000 miles and suspension done by 4000 miles...then enjoy my bike for many more miles!!!...
