and here comes the rant.. LOL

here goes its a 07 two brothers single exhaust stock air filter power commander with custom map done by from what I have heard is the best in my area. robs dyno.com

OK so about 2 weeks ago the bike was running funny at low rpm 1000-3500 it was skipping after 3500 ran good. this was when the bike was up to temp if it was stone cold the bike ran good. turn out that the plugs got fouled? :dontknow: they were a brownish color. replaced the plugs the bike runs like it was no skipping. but this has now got me wondering if the map i has is no good.
here is my concerns
at idle the bike chugs like it has a big block cam in it
on decel 0 throttle position the bike pops/backfires from 3500-1500 rpm
cruising in 3rd gear or so around 40mph at about 2-3 throttle position the bike... well...... sounds funny like its running lean or rich I'm not sure
when I'm putting the power down the bike runs and pulls great but if i slow shift it a little the bike will pop/backfire

I downloeaded the map from powercomanders site and the bike poped much worse

I have looked at the maps thread and i there is nothing like my bike set up on there.. also I am unable to view any of the maps my computer tells me that the compressed files are invalid??

should i post some pix of my map? I cant set it up at a file cause the power commander is loaded on my work laptop.

if this gets double posted Im sorry

Pops on deceleration is part of the beast unless you go in and do block offs and air box mods. Pops don't hurt anything and sound cool like many have said here. My ride has a deadspot 3k-4k as well. I am fat there in my A/F graph from my last Dyno.

Nice clean gen2 you have there, just a warning though. Many a member here has been flamed on for having the spikes on there bike.

:welcome:

Do you have the Dyno chart you can post up? Many fellas smarter than I will chime in and help ya out shortly.

Mike

ahhh its cool about the spikes.. they were only on there for a brief time gong to the track a few times last year taking off and on got old quick.. plus made cleaning a pita too

no i don't have the dyno sheet it was done about a year and half ago and got lost in the move somewere
I wasnt too concerned about the poping tho it does kinda annoy me at times but the rough idle lately has me the most worried about it
