Graves w/Track Fairings

990 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  jcwalter88
Hey,

Does anyone happen to know if the Graves Cat Eliminator Ti system (low mount) will work with track fairings, Armor Bodies specifically? I am trying to decide which exhaust to get, but will be getting some track fairings in the next month or so and I don't want to run into fitup issues with the belly pan.

Thanks!
Jon

At the very least, all you've had to do is trim the belly pan with a dremel before you send it off to paint. Easy day!

Yeah that's kinda what I thought, but I don't want to defeat the purpose of having a belly pan to hold fluids if they are all gonna run out the back! Looking at the pictures it does look like it will need some kind of trimming over a standard mount exhaust.
More often than not, at least a little trimming is needed on most belly pans for various exhausts.

The trim is usually put to the rear upper corner where the "mid pipe" moves up to the can itself.

I've only seen one trim needed anywhere forward, and it was for a full Leo vince corsa exhaust on the belly pan from a clever wolf race kit (Japanese)

And realistically, the belly pan won't catch much if the bike is moving over 5 mph. It's for aerodynamics more than anything else.

I have the graves low slip on (cat eliminator). I just mounted up my hotbodies track bodywork and it fits perfect. And if hotbodies fits it perfect, I would say any of the top brands would fit. Just my two cents

Cat Eliminator is no issue but Akro and Graves full systems are tight on the lowers. Seems they swap the header collector arrangement in such a way that takes up room. I see the WSB fairings occomidate this

Excellent thanks for the feedback! Even a little trimming doesn't bother me just didn't want to get into a situation where the fairings needed heavily modified.
