Well my second weekend out on the CRF450R I crashed twice in one weekend. I'm pretty sore but no injuries. Bike is fine but gloves are toast. First wreck was going from the muddy dirt section to the asphalt, which caused me to have no grip. Had been fighting suspension issues all day and I believed that is what caused me to loose the front. I can go into details whats up with my suspension. If you like my video please subscribe to my channel :)

That tire is too hard. I didn't see any prob with the track. First thought was how nice that asphalt looks. Second thought was how tiny everything was which is kinda funny as a lot of my tight stuff is tighter yet.
That track is tighter than you think. Its mostly my messed up suspension and tires too. I'll run SM slicks next time. I'm supposed to have 75-80mm Sag but the front is messed up and I can only get 15-17mm but I rode anyways. I think I blew the airbladder out in the rear shock so I have no compression so I had to jack the preload all the way up.

Its still a new bike I also have to get used to the new gearing. Its a blast to ride.

I leaned more than I thought but once the bike is fixed I expect I'll be able to lean more before wrecking.

Done some karting there at that track in Bushnell and I think it would be an absolute blast on a super moto or Grom. Looks really fun. Is there a temptation to try and have similar body position as a sport bike or does the foot out moto x thing just feel right?

I practice both but I feel more natural using knee out from roadracing. Using the rear brake has been a learning curve too. The track is a lot of fun. They keep improving the dirt section. I won't be out again until my suspension is rebuilt.
Let me know next time you go I will bring my drz400sm and my buddy with this duke 390 will come too.

Add me on Facebook (Jon Holloway) or join Central Florida Supermoto. I'll make an event next time I go. Last time we got 7 people out there. I want to get about 15 out there next time around.
Cool vids. Looks like a hoot!

I swear I'll be faster once the bike is ready :wink2:
Also, you other SM owners feel free to thread jack with questions, pics, or random Supermoto stuff.

 The videos make it look deceptively slow out there. I'm sure you're already pretty fast!
I wish there was a supermoto track near me. Plenty of motocross tracks around here but nothing for supermoto that's open to the public that I know about. I must admit that I'm a little jealous.
I have been wanting to bring my grom out there really badly, are they super strict about having your bike setup properly?

Reason i asked is they informed me that I needed folding pegs (Had aftermarket sets so I had to purchase another set) and they had to have peg sliders on them as well. Well I cant seem to figure out to make or get pegs that fold with peg sliders. (Dont get me wrong I totally understand why they want them, keep they asphalt looking great!)

Also do you ride with the groms or are the super moto's in a different class?

(Also I think if you go to that course I would not be eligible for Niners Track Day Program)
You should still be good for Nick's Program. They are not strict at all on bikes. Even with all the sliders I gouged the track when I slid. The grom and SM ride together unless I decide to do the dirt section.
Now you got me trolling for a super moto...
