I am trying to install a 35W 5000k DDM Tuning HID kit on my gen2. Everything appears to be plug and play, but they simply don't work. Is there anything special I should be doing?

The wires are polarized. Did you try changing the pin orientation?

On my gen 4 with h7 bulbs everything worked as it should, but polarity at the OE harness does matter I noticed. Did you try that?-Steven

Too late, damn kids. Other than that, I would have to assume something is faulty. Although this is my third ddm kit and have never encountered that..-Steven

Have you checked the fuse to make sure you didn't blow it?

Yes. Fuse is good. Old bulbs still work. I'm assuming I didn't get two bad ballasts and two bad bulbs. That would be odd.

But two bad bulbs would do the trick. My last set arrived at my house looking like a crushed soda can but ask was good. It's a long way from China I hear.-Steven

No, you got something dinked up. That last pic isn't right at all from the looks of it. Those connectors don't mate properly.

The pins are not the correct distance apart on the ballast, so you are correct.

The green part should just stay and be the pin protector. It's been awhile since I did it on my gen 2. I'll see if I can find some pics to help you, but there's definitely something not hooked up right.

My ddm kit didn't have that, must have been an older version that I have. Mine just had leads with spade connectors. Glad you got it sorted tho. Enjoy-Steven
