So my bike has a little issue that has onset, and I'm unsure of the culprit.. Sometimes I am unable to downshift / rarely upshift with the clutch level pulled all the way in, I need to release the handle a bit to find a "sweet spot" to get it in the gear, then I'm able to depress the clutch to engage. Any ideas?

Maybe it doesnt want to jump into the next gear due to rpm.. I dont usually have trouble with it on my gen 1 but I know my brothers gsxr wont downshift if he is at a certain rpm.. possible by allowing the clutch to engage or your sweet spot slows the engine down then allows you to get into gear
