What's up fellas, not new on this site but first time posting. Just picked up a used gen 5 and noticed that the previous owner removed the cat which is causing the bike to have some idle issues. I know that I need to get the ecu flashed but unsure which route to go. I'm a every day rider with some canyon riding on the weekends so not looking to go extreme. Was looking into the Woolich tuner but noticed there are some issues with map sharing and since I have no experience with a tuner I'm trying to get something that wouldn't be to complicated. Can anyone recommend which tuner would be better to suit my needs. Thanks.

He has a mail in offer and he has tuned many Gen 5s including 2 of mine. It will be night and day. Unless your in the Northwest area then you could take it to him but you wont go wrong. Atleast contact to get some questions answered. And tell him Mike Wassemiller refereed ya for extra love from him..ha! Good luck

How long does it take to get the ecu back? I hate for my bike to be down to long. Not a fan of being on 4 wheels especially in southern ca.

+1 for Nels. He flashed my zx10r. You are close, so it should not take more than a couple of days. They will flash it and send it out the same day.

They return it the same day they receive it, I live on the East coast and always had mine back in 3 days total time. I sent it out overnight mail on a Monday, they received and Flashed it on Tuesday and sent it back FEDEX s day, got back on a Thursday...Great people to work with and they take the time to answer and explain everything they do.

Anybody have guhl flash their G5? Curious if he messed with the quickshifter, I had heard rumors he did.

So I went ahead and contacted 2wheeldynoworks and I'm going to send them my ecu so they can flash it. They want me to give them a list of things I want them to reset but I'm not to sure what needs to be done. I know I need to get the auto-blip set up and disable the O2 sensor and the servo motor. Also want to lower the temp settings for the fan switch. I'm pretty sure they are going to reconfigure the other settings to wake up the bike but is there anything I need to ask them to do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Disable fuel cut

Disable top speed limiter
Raise rpm limit by 300
Disable exup valve

Hey scotman623 what is the exup valve exactly? I wanna make sure I don't sound like a dumbass when I tell them to disable it plus want to know what that does.

He meant exhaust valve.

Need some help guys. Just got my ecu back from 2WDN and attached it. Went ahead and relearn the box to the bike. When I finally did that and got it running I noticed the bike still lopes while idling and when I give it gas it dies. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Any suggestions? I'm planning on calling them in the morning to see what's going on but so anxious on getting this bike running.

You turned ignition on let it cycle then started it and did not touch throttle and counted to 10 and then shut down count to 10 REPEAT 3X ?

Yes I did that. There is also a check engine light when it's on. Do I need to let it run a little longer so it can adjust itself?
