I've done some searching already but didn't come up with much other than the Superbike Tail option, but I'm looking to replace the stock seat to a race seat if possible without going to a superbike tail. A buddy of mine has a new R1 with a race seat he got over in Europe but I forget the name of where he got it from.:nerd:

It's a gen4 racebike. Anyone replaces the stock seat with a race style seat with the firm pad?

May not be exactly what you are looking for but....

I had the same problem on my Gen2.

I took the stock seat cover off, removed the like 4" of foam from
the seat pan and replaced with new 5/8" firm foam and recovered seat.

Foam I used....

Minicell foam and Materials for kayak seats and components

Turned out nice, looks stock.

My legs are loving it and I'm not interfering with the bike, much easier to move around.

Not perfect, but inexpensive and works. I'll not be looking
for a new seat anymore.

Not a bad idea at all, I've considered doing this is as well. Have pics of the finished product?

Gen 4 and Gen 2 seat are quite different.

I pulled the thick foam off the seat pan

used the 5/8" minicel foam, spray glue, electric carving
knife borrowed from the wife (unknowingly)

Glued, shaped, stapled old cover back on.

You could probably have someone local do it as well.
