Gen 4 Bazzaz Z-FI QS shifter question

Waiting for my Bazzaz Z-FI QS to come in the next days and was thinking since I want a shifter that cuts the ignition, is the Bazzaz Z-FI QS cutting the ignition or the fuel? As far as I am aware the unit does not wire to the coils. Does this mean that it cant control the ignition for shifting?
