i just finished building and dynoing yesterday a 07 with 07 ported head, .015 deck, .050 hg, 08 race int., stk. 07 ex., made 180 rwhp with 12 inch stretch and 530 heavy chain, 91 pump gas. capable of 190 with mr12, 525,and shorter wb. cams degreed at 110.5 and 106.5, hitting rev limiter at 12500 with power still climbing. gen 2 head will work fine.

What about gen 4 valve springs and retainers on a gen 3 head? I have heard they are rated for 14,000 RPM before the start to float.

Are there any difference in the Gen 2 intake valves vs the Gen 3 intake valves?

Gen 2 and gen 3 valves are the same size 30mm.

would a gen3 head fit on a gen1 motor??
or would using the gen2-4 valve springs and retainers in my gen1 head to avoid valve float on nitrous.

Gen 1 head is the way to go it has bigger valves the 2 and 3 that what I did to my 2 Gen zx10r with Kawasaki Gen 3 race intake and Gen 2 ex. And a .45mm thin hg. I made 192 at the Dyno on pump gas But I also ported and polished the head. Hope this helps:deathmeta.

makes perfect sense.... now are the newer valve springs and retainers stronger than my gen 1 springs and retainers?

is there any differences between the gens bottom ends??
looks to me with all the info i find that all gens share the same bore and stroke...
