Hi Guys,

has anyone tried a 190/60 tyre on the Gen 1?

I have a track day coming up and would like to run slicks 190/60 without causing issues with the rear hugger ect

A 190/60 tyre will definitely have clearance issues with the hugger. Even a 190/55 is unlikely to fit.

ideally you want the axle further back in the swingarm, which will allow 190/55 no issues. shorter wheelbase is for tricks and fun, not going fast

-1 frt sprocket will move axle back a bit, also smaller rear gear, same, or put on one or 2 link longer chain. It depends what kind of riding u do. Zx10 likes longer setup, why slot is so long in swingarm.
