maybe a crazy thing for most, but after 3 years and 25000 miles on the zx10r, my knees are becoming more and more damaged (as a result of a motorcycling accindent half a lifetime ago which means i don't quite have full flex in my left knee)

So as a method to prolong my ability to keep riding the ten by relaxing the pressure on my knees, I was wondering if anyone had seen anything that lowers the foot restes slightly, or indeed managed to do it successfully themselves?

I've owned the bike from new, and really don't want to see it go just yet.

Buell XB series rider pegs are an inch lower, and with a little grinding, should fit easily. You would then have to lower your shifter and rear brake lever as well. They cost about $25 on fleabay, or you can order them from harley dealers.

Vortex rearsets are adjustable as are almost all aftermarket rearsets. The Vortex main plates can be swapped from left to right to give even more adjustment for lowering, so I have heard.
