front it a lot cheaper and will give it a good jump in acceleration. I say go down to a 16 tooth up front and see how it feels...possibly a 15 tooth up front??? but I don't know about that, seems like the chain would have to have such a tight area to bend in ya know???

XSPOWER what gear are you going through the trap? Im thinking about tring that gearing 15t 42t = 2.8 but for my bike it's like 16t 45t = 2.81 im about 190 suited

I ment -1 front and +1 out back
Man i like tring stuff but with -1 +1 I liked it alot but the next week I changed it to -1t 42t only because its geting cold in ohio and im running out of track time. that 40t rear was alot better then that 39 alot better and it was easy to ride. I got me a steel gear it was about 30bucks.

how would -1 front and +1 back do
I was going to suggest that to start. Then go from there. Get rid of that 15 tooth front though and go with a 16. The 15 is too small I know that a bunch of guys run them and that they work for some of them but there are better options out there. Plus our chains don't like to bend that much, you could end up skipping teeth. As for going up one tooth in the rear it really won't make that much difference but like I said it's a good starting point. I"m -1+3 I beleive right now. I weigh less than you but I pull mid 1.40 60's to low 1.4 60's and run pretty good with that set up. Also dial in your suspension for your weight to help you get a better launch. It makes a difference. Also try to get off of the clutch faster, once you get used to the new set up and the difference in the power band. Take your time and you'll suprise your self in no time. Good luck.:eek:ccasion1
