hey guys!

my new garage floor is oily from the previous owner(s) cars. i tried washing it out (with chemicals and a power washer), but more and more oil keeps seeping out after a few days.

i decided to put carpet down so that oil doesn't get into the tires.

do any of you have carpets installed in the garage? any advice for me?

clean it, epoxy paint... your done.. last years and years

Hmmm...the carpet is to catch the oil when it drips and not let it get down into the concrete. So I'm not sure if putting carpet down over it will only soak the carpet you're parking on which defeats the purchase. If you're not going to chemically etch the concrete and use the epoxy paint, then just get a bunch of the garage mats and park the bike on those. When they get oily after time, throw them out and get a replacement.

I park my bike on one of these mats all the time in the garage! Or if I go to the track. :wink: My mats are older and say "Kawasaki" on them, but they are this type....
